2025 Edition of WRO Future Innovators seeks robotic solutions for future challenges

World Robot Olympiad Inspires Young People Worldwide to Create Innovative Solutions with Social Impact

With the goal of fostering creative thinking, technological innovation, and collaborative work, the 2025 edition of the WRO Future Innovators program — one of the most visionary categories of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) — is officially underway.
This competition invites students aged 14 to 19 to design, build, and present robotic solutions addressing real-world problems, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Throughout the process, teams research a challenge, develop a functional prototype, and present their project to judges and the general public at a specially designed booth.
This year, special emphasis is placed on the robots’ ability to make autonomous decisions, communicate with each other, and generate a positive impact on society.

Key development areas for participants:

  • Research and development of an original solution
  • Robotic prototyping and construction
  • Programming and automation
  • Project presentation to judges
  • Innovation with a user-centered and social impact focus

Participation requirements:

  • Teams of 2 to 3 students aged 14 to 19
  • One coach aged 18 or older to guide the team (without intervening in the building or programming process)
  • Projects and presentations must be 100% student-made

Projects will be evaluated based on their innovation, social impact, technical quality, and clarity of presentation.
Awards will be given to the top three teams, and outstanding coaches will also receive special recognition.

International Final Awards:

🥇 Gold: 5,000,000
🥈 Silver: 3,000,000
🥉 Bronze: 1,000,000
🎖 Mentor Recognition: up to 1,500,000
