A team of seven international volunteers—six from Salesforce and one from Team4Tech—is currently in Paraguay, contributing their expertise and experience to the technological development of the Fundación Paraguaya’s Poverty Stoplight.
The Poverty Stoplight is an innovative tool that allows families to assess their poverty level through visual indicators and design personalized action plans to improve their quality of life. This initiative has been globally recognized for its participatory approach and its impact on poverty reduction.
Salesforce, one of the leading companies in cloud technology and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, has joined this cause with the mission of improving how families interact with the Poverty Stoplight tool. Alongside Team4Tech, an organization that promotes technology-focused volunteerism to drive education and social development, the volunteers are working on key initiatives:
- Development of an independent application: Enabling families to use the Poverty Stoplight without relying on an intermediary organization, making access and usability easier.
- Strengthening the microfinance sector: Implementing innovative ideas to reach 100,000 beneficiaries, optimizing the impact of Fundación Paraguaya’s financial programs.
- Enhancing the assistance chatbot: Assessing and developing improvements or a new version of the chatbot to facilitate access to information and guidance for families.
- Technology development consulting and best practices: Implementing strategies and improvements in the technological infrastructure of the tool.

The volunteer team consists of specialists in key areas, including coding, database management, generative AI, machine learning, bot development, business processes, product management, and customer relationship management.
This collaboration represents a unique opportunity to enhance the impact of the Poverty Stoplight, combining technological innovation and social commitment to improve the quality of life for thousands of families in Paraguay and around the world.
