
More than 71,000 families have taken part in innovative initiatives that combine gamification, teamwork, and self-management as a pathway out of poverty.
As part of its mission to eradicate multidimensional poverty, Fundación Paraguaya has successfully implemented 12 social competitions, engaging 3,260 Women’s Committees and directly benefiting 71,720 families across the country.
These competitions focus on improving key indicators from the Poverty Stoplight tool, using gamification as a central strategy. By turning everyday challenges into collaborative and motivating experiences, participants are empowered to take control of their development—always with close support from their advisors.
Key Competitions and Results:
- My Bathroom, My Pride
With a focus on hygiene and health, this competition helped 223 families build modern bathrooms, through a combined investment of PYG 628 million. The winning committee was rewarded with a trip to Camboriú, Brazil. - My Kitchen, My Pride
Aimed at creating functional living spaces, 220 kitchens were renovated, thanks to a total investment of PYG 445 million, improving the environments where women cook and earn income. - My Happy Smile
Beyond aesthetics, this competition restored oral health and self-esteem for 193 women, with an investment of PYG 263 million, addressing the “Healthy Teeth” indicator. - I Sleep Happy and Peacefully
As a result of this initiative, 62 families built separate bedrooms, ensuring dignified rest and privacy, supported by an investment of PYG 310 million.

- Entrepreneurs Sing and Dance (29 Committees submitted music videos),
- War on Dengue and Chikungunya (62 Committees led fumigation and cleanup campaigns),

- What a Lovely Nativity Scene! (98 Committees).

- The initiatives strengthened community self-management, with women leading structural transformations in their homes.
These actions not only improve quality of life, but also promote self-reliance, savings, and community organization—strengthening the social fabric from the ground up.
