Under the motto “Learn, Grow, and Succeed with Us,” Instituto Belén held a workshop on Thursday, September 25, bringing together businesses from the Concepción region to mark the graduation of its very first class of students. The event took place at the Institute’s campus, located within the Belén Agricultural School grounds, along Route V, formerly Kilometer 21.

Throughout the day, the results of a market study were presented, evaluating how well the Institute’s academic offerings align with local needs. The event also created a space for dialogue and collaboration with the business sector, aiming to strengthen partnerships that improve employment opportunities in the region.
The celebration brought together local authorities, business leaders, representatives from social organizations, educators, and rural development advocates, all joining in to honor the 143 young people who successfully completed short-term job training programs. These included courses in Office Management, Restaurant Service, Industrial Safety and Hygiene, Mobile Phone Repair, and Forestry Assistance.

At the event, the Institute also announced the launch of four new training programs:
- Office Management
- Industrial Safety and Hygiene
- Restaurant Service
- Forestry Assistance
Instituto Belén was established through a joint initiative between Fundación Paraguaya and Fundación José de la Sobera, with the goal of offering high-quality technical and entrepreneurial training to young people and adults in rural communities.
“Instituto Belén was founded with a clear vision: to drive progress in rural areas, create real opportunities for young people living in vulnerable situations, and support the growth of farming families,” said Martín Burt, Executive Director of Fundación Paraguaya. “We want every graduate to leave not only with a trade, but also with the tools to start their own business, generate income, and transform their community.”

What sets Instituto Belén apart from other educational alternatives is its unique blend of technical training with entrepreneurial, commercial, technological, and socio-emotional skills. The Institute also provides post-graduation support, access to microloans for business ventures, and a job placement service to help graduates enter the workforce.
