“Roots and Future”: vulnerable communities receive training on land rights, leadership, and financial education

As part of a joint effort to empower vulnerable communities, Fundación Paraguaya and Atlas Network implemented the “Roots and Future” project, offering free workshops focused on key topics for the sustainable development of organized community groups from Central and Presidente Hayes.

More than 160 participants attended these training sessions, which were structured around three essential pillars:

  • Legal framework and land ownership in Paraguay, helping participants understand their rights and the processes required to obtain formal property titles.
  • Community strengthening, with a focus on the role of neighborhood commissions, active civic engagement, and participatory territorial mapping as tools for local organization.
  • Community financial education, through the “My Money with Purpose” module, designed to promote economic autonomy, responsible resource management, and collective development.

Additionally, participants applied the Poverty Stoplight methodology, a tool developed by Fundación Paraguaya that helps families self-assess their living conditions across various dimensions (income, health, education, housing, etc.) and create personalized plans to improve their quality of life.

The “Roots and Future” project showed that education tailored to real community needs can generate lasting impact. These workshops not only shared technical and practical knowledge, but also sowed seeds of organization, cooperation, and hope.

Through this strategic alliance, Fundación Paraguaya and Atlas Network reinforce their commitment to holistic development, civic empowerment, and the eradication of multidimensional poverty in Paraguay.
