71% of the families participating in Fundación Paraguaya’s programs are already earning incomes above the minimum wage

The most notable takeaway from the 2025 Report presented by Fundación Paraguaya during its Annual General Assembly was the economic impact achieved by thousands of households: 71% of participating families are now earning incomes above the minimum wage, with an average monthly income of G. 5.5 million. In addition, women contribute 48% of household income, and on average, families increase their earnings from G. 3.8 million in the first year to G. 5 million by the third year. This reflects a sustained process of economic improvement, stronger family structures, and poverty reduction.

In this context, Fundación Paraguaya officially presented its 2025 Report, highlighting a year of strong financial results, international expansion, and institutional achievements that reinforced its leadership in social innovation, microfinance, and sustainability. During the event, recognition was also given to employees with 10 and 20 years of service, those who retired, and, in particular, master cheesemaker Ricardo Negrete for the successful creation of Cerrito blue cheese. In its first year on the market, the cheese won a gold medal at the International “Encuentro Quesos del Nuevo Mundo 2025” competition held in Chile.

In financial terms, the institution closed 2025 with a portfolio of USD 32,306,743, reached 102,765 clients, recorded an average loan of USD 314, and achieved a surplus of USD 1,297,594—exceeding the average of the past four years. It also reported assets of USD 43,778,059 and equity of USD 15,970,612, reinforcing its financial strength and stability.

The Report also highlighted the global positioning of the Poverty Stoplight program, with Paraguay leading the worldwide ranking with 267,065 stoplights implemented, followed by Guatemala, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa. This was complemented by the success of the Cerrito Forum 2025, which brought together participants from 15 countries and strengthened the organization’s international reach.

During the Assembly, several national and international recognitions received in 2025 were also highlighted, including Great Place to Work, World Summit Awards, Global Sustainability Awards, Microfinance Social Impact Awards, and multiple distinctions for innovation, sustainability, and inclusion.

The event concluded by celebrating not only strong figures, but also the commitment of staff and strategic partners who made possible a year of transformation—where economic results translated into real progress for thousands of families.
