The Poverty Elimination Stoplight will be implemented in José Falcón

Fundación Paraguaya and Cultivando Futuro join forces to bring new development opportunities to families in José Falcón.

Fundación Paraguaya and Cultivando Futuro have launched a partnership to bring the Poverty Elimination Stoplight methodology to families in José Falcón, in the Presidente Hayes department. The initiative seeks to gradually and participatively create development opportunities for the community, with families as the protagonists of their own improvement process.

The project is currently in an initial awareness and preparation stage, involving approximately 300 families, with plans to reach 900 families in the future.

During this first phase, the team is working to understand the territory, coordinate with local stakeholders, present the methodology family by family, and prepare the team that will accompany the process. The goal is to build relationships of trust and create the necessary conditions to move forward with household visits.

One of the main milestones was the community launch of Cultivando Futuro, held at the Héroes del Chaco Sports Center, with the participation of families, children, authorities, and social stakeholders from José Falcón. The event provided an opportunity to present the initiative and explain, in simple terms, how the Stoplight works and what role the mentors will play during the next stage.

The methodology enables each family to visualize different aspects of their quality of life through indicators represented by the colors red, yellow, and green. In this way, families can recognize their achievements, identify areas they want to improve, and establish their own goals and priorities.

In the coming months, Cultivando Futuro will continue strengthening local coordination, training the team, and moving toward implementation of the Stoplight. This first stage marks the starting point of a process aimed at enabling families in José Falcón to take the lead in building a future with greater opportunities.
