Fundación Paraguaya Robotics Competition 2026 to take place on September 5

Students aged 14 to 19 will put their creativity, technological knowledge, and ability to solve real-world problems to the test during the grand final of the Fundación Paraguaya Robotics Competition 2026, to be held on September 5 from 8:00 a.m. at the American School of Asunción.

Under the concept “Innovabot, Robots for Entrepreneurship,” the competition seeks to promote the development of skills in robotics, innovation, and creative problem-solving, with a focus on generating solutions that can have a concrete social and economic impact.

In this edition, participating teams must identify a real task or process within a microenterprise that could be optimized through automation and design a functional robotic solution to address that need.

The proposal responds to a challenge faced by many small businesses in the country: the use of time and resources on manual and repetitive tasks that could be performed more efficiently through technological tools.

Agricultural and artisanal production.

Commerce and small businesses.

Services and informal work.

Environment and circular economy.

The initiative draws inspiration from the spirit of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), an international competition with which Fundación Paraguaya has worked previously, but adapts its approach to the national context and adds a perspective focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and tangible economic impact.

More than simply building a robot, the challenge encourages young people to observe their surroundings, identify a concrete need, and turn an idea into a technological solution capable of creating value. In this way, the competition seeks to strengthen not only participants’ technical skills, but also skills such as critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.

The jury will be made up of professionals from the technology, academic, and entrepreneurship sectors, invited by Fundación Paraguaya, who will evaluate the proposals and the teams’ performance during the final event.
