Strong Turnout for the «Green Ribbon» Training Workshop to Protect Children and Adolescents in Itauguá

The initiative, led through a partnership between Chalice and Fundación Paraguaya, trained approximately 80 community leaders in violence prevention and the promotion of positive parenting and respectful treatment.

With the shared goal of strengthening efforts to protect and promote the rights of children and adolescents, the «Green Ribbon» training workshop was successfully held in Itauguá. The initiative focused on preventing violence against children and adolescents while promoting safe and protective environments within local communities.

The event took place at the Ypacaraí Cooperative Ltd. branch in the city of Itauguá and brought together approximately 80 women serving as presidents of family groups from the cities of Itauguá and Capiatá, all of whom participate in the Chalice Project.

The training provided participants with practical tools to identify, prevent, and respond appropriately to situations of violence affecting children and adolescents. Key topics included comprehensive child protection, the promotion of positive parenting and respectful treatment, the early identification of risk factors, and the appropriate referral procedures for cases involving potential violations of children’s rights.

The workshop was organized as part of the sponsorship program implemented through the strategic partnership between Chalice and Fundación Paraguaya, with the valuable support of Paraguay’s Ministry of Children and Adolescents (MINNA) through its «Green Ribbon» Campaign.

Through initiatives like this, the program seeks to continue raising community awareness while strengthening both institutional and civic commitment to fostering a culture of respect, care, and the full protection of children and adolescents throughout Paraguay.
