Young people receive Chalice scholarships to fulfill their dream of completing their higher education

At Fundación Paraguaya’s office in Capiatá, a ceremony was held to present scholarships awarded to 16 young people selected by the Chalice project, who will be able to finance their higher education from the beginning through completion of their respective degrees.

The initiative represents an investment of approximately G. 450 million, aimed at giving young people the opportunity to advance their professional education and achieve a goal that, for many, represents an important life project.

During the event, each young person received a certificate stating their goal and the number of years ahead to achieve that dream. As part of the message shared during the ceremony, they were encouraged to place the certificate somewhere visible and look at it whenever challenges feel overwhelming, as a reminder of what motivates them to keep moving forward.

The support will not be limited to the academic sphere. From now on, Fundación Paraguaya mentors will work with each young person through their Poverty Elimination Stoplight, accompanying their comprehensive development process and providing tools to advance across the different dimensions of their well-being. Fundación Paraguaya is responsible for implementing the Chalice program in Paraguay.

This support model also incorporates lessons learned from previous experiences with scholarship recipients, with particular emphasis on preventing dropout and supporting young people throughout their degree programs. The goal is for each recipient to overcome the challenges that arise and reach the completion of their studies.
